more loot!!

before i update on the above mentioned. let me first express my disappointment with ASOS. they FINALLY dispatched my shipment BUT one of the items is out of stock. and it happens to the the last red chiffon dress i posted in my last entry. i was so upset that i pen them this:
=============================================================================================================

Hi,

This is the second time i've encountered such distressing incident from ASOS. I am not a local, as such i suffer exchange rate losses when such incidents arise.

ASOS should seriously consider NOT charging overseas customers' credit cards prior to shipping of orders. This is deemed unfair as the order wasn't even packed and shipped out and in such an instance, after deduction of the monies, you credit back the amount for the refunded item. The overseas customer is definitely at a losing end.

With so much anticipation of my order, this email only serves not only disappointment but also resentment for such an inconsiderate act. This also dampens my mood in wanting to shop more in ASOS now and in future.

Perhaps ASOS might want to leran how to manage their tracking systems better or like what i've suggested, NOT to charge unshipped orders prior.

Hopefully the Management will take this feedback into serious consideration.

Regards,

neways... it's more than the exchange rate that i am fedup with here. was sharing with eli-chan on the tough choices we have to make when picking out the items we want and painstakingly calculate the various combinations on the most economic shipping pattern.

oh well.. i guess no point still harping on it and so i went for ANOTHER kill last nite!! so here's the PICTURES!!

pure laziness

these fotos should long have been uploaded but i was never born a tech-ie person and tho i advocate the simplest hp a person should carry should have camera function... i literally take for my own viewing pleasure and of cuz, i love to show off nice pics of myself to frens too la. =p

here's some pics of FOOD, yes food that both eli-chan and myself had at cedele in wheelock place some weeks back. and verdict is... i will not return no matter what. the food wasn't served hot, service wasn't great and the ambience wasn't entirely great too. i mean for that kind of price (think the bill came up to 60+ for 2 pastas, 1 yucky chix wings and 2 drinks), you can easily get better food elsewhere like wahiro (tho we are talking entirely different cuisines now).

and talking about wahiro, the food is good but really ex. still if you feel like pampering yourself or giving a slightly more lavish treat to your loved ones, you can always head there instead of sushi tei cuz they serve grilled food. as compared to the one in far east, i think i would prefer wahiro still cuz the ventilation is rather good.

neways, here comes the pics of the yucky food we had or rather i felt they deserved to be termed as yucky to me.

for you, eli-chan

she commented i have too few PUBLIC entries :p

so here's an update on some stuffs i bot some weeks back as well as my new order last wk =p

PARTY GEAR!!!

NEW LOOT LOOKOUT!!!!

OKIE, THERE'S ACTUALLY ANOTHER PARCEL FROM GAP, ON AND BR THAT I AM LOOKING OUT FOR BUT RECENTLY THEY HAVE SOME FORM OF DISCOUNT AND SEEMS LIKE SOME STUFFS ARE TOTALLY GONE. AND ONE SKIRT FROM ON HAS BEEN SLASHED DOWN!!! CONSIDERING THE ITEMS HAVEN'T EVEN BEEN SHIPPED OUT!! =(

miss clarity cafe again

grabbed dinner at the a.m. joint with eeb last friday. he opted for fish cordon bleu whilst i had lamb ravioli. i always like ravioli. it's intriguing to sink your teeth into something you know what you would be expecting but yet the taste will never be quite like what you had prepared yourself to experience (if you know what i mean). =p

had a bite of his fish and i would say it tastes pretty much like normal fish and chips EXCEPT there's a slice of ham smacked in between the 2 pieces of fish PLUS there's cheese beneath!! quite wholesome tasting considering the fish tasted abit bland so i reckon the ham and cheese gave it that extra kick.

and my ravioli was not too bad. the sauce completes the taste with bits of (i think they are sauteed crab meat) and green peas. the ravioli definitely taste like they are prepared in the kitchen there and then, not like pre-packed frozen food kind. no fats inside the ravioli. the way i like my meat to be. =)

we ordered the set meal whereby you'll only need to pay extra S$3.80 for either soup/salad PLUS drink PLUS desert of the day. soup was cream of chicken and it tasted powdery AND drink was diluted. ice-cream was scoop of either strawberry/vanilla/chocolate and needless to say i chose my favouritest flavor.

overall it's value for money, just don't expect too much from a joint frequented by youngsters.

good and BAD experiences

okay, i've really been indulging myself lately or rather boyfriend has been doing that.

2 nites ago we went First Thai to try out the yummy dishes recommended by Camemberu.com. we ordered tomyum soup (our favourite), kangkong, cereal soft shell crab as well as seafood horfun (i had wanted phad thai but i circled the item wrongly on the order sheet). =p

i was a tad disappointed when i realised i've ordered wrongly but the seafood horfun turned out to be alrite too. but the crab stick served with the horfun tasted funny.. a weird taste i can't put my finger too.. tastes a tad unfresh tho they are frozen food.

but it's defnitely value for money considering there's no service charge and gst. reception was warm and setting was cosy. will definitely return for a second time so i can sink my teeth into the PHAD THAI!!!

as for last nite, it was quite a disastrous experience. i've posted my comment in ieatishootipost.com about this joint called persimmons in link hotel off tiong bahru road:

went last evening. boyfriend and myself were the first evening diners there. reception by the so-called lady boss was horrible. boyfriend was poorly dressed and she did not greet with a smile but cast a dirty look at him.

ordered 3 dishes namely crab cakes, water chestnut ravioli and the pesto pasta. only the ravioli tasted good. the rest are rather bland .

soon a pair of caucasian diners came in. the lady boss flocked to them and tried VERY hard to introduce the entrees in her menu. couple was seated right behind us. i would say she failed terribly as she could hardly explain the ingredients but kept telling them it's a nonya dish??

and guess what? she gave them complimentary mushroom soup!! another 2 caucasian families strolled in. i reckon the other elder lady (not in uniform) is her mother, she too, sashayed her way to the caucasians.

i felt so disgusted with the way they treat our own people but suck up to all these white people. they are really a shame to our country and the food they serve was really not worth the money. i will not return for a second time definitely. maybe they have forgotten word of mouth advertisement works wonders in singapore. were they harping on the idea that these travellers will spread words on how good the reception they got from their restaurant?

excuse me, how many times do holidayers visit singapore for a second time? you think they would fly here so often just to dine in your restaurant?

boyfriend was fuming mad after we left the restaurant. he was angry i felt uncomfortable throughout the time we had our meal there. they lost 2 customers for good and naturally i never fail to inform all of my friends bout this nasty experience.
